Supervisors: Philippe GOUBERSVILLE, Olivier DELESTRE

I.                   Introduction

The topic of our team for the second week is “Structural measures for flood reduction: management of slope& management of weirs (including weir removal)”.

The day was dedicated to analyze the topic, talk about what we can do and decide on which software we are going to work. We also plan the week and we continued working on the video and the final report.

II.                What has been achieved?

Since our results for MikeSHE were not very right, the goal was to get a better hydrograph to use it as an input on Mike flood (coupling of Mike11 and Mike21).

We were then able to allocate tasks to everybody in the team and to plan the week. We started to work on each software.

For now we have decided to work on Mike Flood and HEC-RAS. If we have time and if we manage to get some help from Gonzalo OLIVARES, we might try to do simulations on IBER.

III.                   Allocation of tasks for the day

This is how we allocated tasks to people:

*It means that their main tasks are not modelling but others tasks (such as video production, final reports, bibliography searches, website update…) but they are here and available to help if the others need something to be done, looked for etc. For example today Laura and Quentin both helped Océane and Benoît on Arc-GIS for HEC-GEO-RAS.

Here is also a schedule for the upcoming week:
