HydroEurope 2016 – 2017

Final management report

February 2017

Introduction

Management is essential to organize a group, especially in a huge group like ours with ten

members of various nationalities. Organization allows smooth and efficient work progression.

Communication

To begin the face to face hydro Europe work, we are provided with a classroom. It is very convenient for us to discuss the topic and work together everyday.

In this team, all the decisions are done by submission of suggestions and consultation of everybody. Meanwhile, having an easier and more efficient tool for the daily communication is required. A Facebook Messager group was created because of the capacity of an easy communication way after class for all team members. And Face book group are also used to share documents.

Everyday a task table is created to show what tasks have been done or are ongoing so that everyone in our group can get a better understanding of our group progress.

III. Document Management

HydroEurope work incurs a lot of report-writing and data transfer between teammates which means that an efficient updating system would also be essential. Because of aforementioned reasons, it was decided that the Google platform will still be used. Finally, these documents are updated to the hydro Europe website.

IV. Work Assignments

The method of work delegation is made by consultation of each member. The general work division methods are as follows:

• Two or three work on a software modelling

• Literature works are divided into several parts, one or two persons are in charge a part of them.

• People in charge tasks should write report, make slides and make presentation for the certain part.

• Jozef is responsible for all the website update and video

• It is voluntary to write daily management report

The delegation of tasks is summarized in a Google spreadsheet which everyone has access to. And it is also recorded in the daily report. Table 1 and Table 2 are the summary of organization of tasks in these two weeks.

V. Conclusion

Since we have already prepared for two topics. Now we get a better understanding of each other in the group. Every group member can easily find the suitable task to deal with the topics. During this period, we also get a better understanding of different culture. This will be an unforgettable experience.
