Hydrological modelling software using various parameters as

·         The Strickler overland flow coefficient

·         The soil properties

·         The soil layers

·         The initial condition of water table depth

To built the discharge of the rviver (at the Napoleon bridge)

1)      Model calibration : Change physical parameters of the bassin as the strickler of the forest (here we notice a difference, not in mike she), the conductivity of loam, depth at base of layer or the initial water tabe depth below ground.


1)      Modification of urban area and rainfall : decrease of 20% the surface of forest area by converting into urban area and compare the simulation more urbanized with the calibrate one



Then we split by two the rainfall magnitude and compare the simulation more urbanized with the calibrate one


Conclusion : When we reduce by half the rainfall the difference between calibrate peak flow and urbanized peak flow is about (1420-1380 = 40 m3/s), however with the precipitation measured during November of 1994 event the difference between the two peaks discharge is about (4100-3700 = 400 m3/s) so we multiply by ten the difference that show the relation and the impact of urbanization and floods event in Var region.
